DESIGN OF FOOTINGS IS BASED ON A MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE BEARING PRESSURE OF 2,500 PSF ON THE
EXISTING SUBGRADE, BELOW FROST DEPTH BASED ON DEAD LOAD PLUS LIVE LOAD.

REINFORCED CONCRETE:

40. AT SPLICES, LAP BARS 50 DIAMETERS UNLESS NOTED OTHERWISE. AT CORNERS AND INTERSECTIONS,
MAKE HORIZONTAL BARS CONTINUOUS OR PROVIDE MATCHING CORNER BARS. AROUND OPENINGS IN
WALLS AND SLABS, PROVIDE 2-#5, EXTENDING 2'-0" BEYOND EDGE OF OPENING. IN CONTINUOUS MEMBERS,
