Design of footings is based upon an assumed allowable soil bearing pressure of 2,000 pounds per square foot on decomposed granite bedrock below frost depth. 2. Footing elevations indicated are based upon estimated grades. The Excavation contractor shall ensure depth of footing excavation is sufficient to ensure placement of footing s on natural, undisturbed soil or bedrock and below frost depth of 30-inches.
