Please Read Instructions Carefully
Request inspections ONLY at 577-3731. Inspections may he requested at anytime. The .following information is
necessary to schedule an inspection: 1) job address; 2) permit number; 3) type of in.spection(s);. 4) All inspections
must be called in on the "Inspection Line" by 4:00 p.m. the preceding work day.
2. This card and the permit must be posted on the job site for all inspections.
3. Town approved plans must be on the job site for all inspections.
4. Work shall not proceed until the inspector has approved the necessary inspection, Unauthorized construction may
result in material removal,
5. 'Permits will become null and void if the authorized work is not ready for the first inspection within :180 days of the.
permit issue date, or if more than:180 days elapses between inspections,
6. A re -inspection fee may be assessed .when: 1) Inspection card and permit card are not posted 2) The approved plans
are not available; 3) Access to the site is riot .provided for the inspector: 4) Inspections are requested prior to the work
being ready; 5) Previous corrections are not properly made. Additional inspections will not. be made until re -
inspection fees are paid and the, receipt is with this inspection card,
7. Setback .and footing inspections will 101 be performed by the 'flown unless all lot corners are clearlystaked or
provide a stamped letter from a professionalland surveyor / engineer certifying setbacks.
8. All concrete reinforcing steel must be in place before inspections are performed,
9. The appropriate, sanitation district must be contacted to make taps and "sewer service lit e" inspections of all under
ground ptumbing outside of bulklings,

final inspection until an approved contractor affidavit has been approved by the Municipal Clerk.

-The sketches above are intended to show the design elements of the Pergola, even though the scale is
different.
-The vertical 4x4s are now 8x8, the 4x6 are now 4x10s, and the 2x3s become 2x4s.
-The 4x8s hip rafters will be notched into the 8x8s and bolted together using (2) 5/8" thru bolts.
-ST18 straps will be used at the peak to tie the 4 hips together
-There will be (3) 2x4 rafters, (in each triangular bay) that run from the hips down to the 2x6 fascia. The
intent of these is to stabilize the 2x4 slats that fun up the roof. 3" screws are to be used on both the
rafters and the 2x4 slats.
-A 4x4 beam on a 45 degree angle will be installed from the 8x8 vertical post to the 4x8 tail using 8"x'/2"
lag bolts.
-The Bottom of the2x6 fascia board will remain at 6' 8" above the deck
