The excellent response and performance, exhibited by the Estes Park-Pelice Department, to the armed robbery at the Safeway store 4Novemb90 29, 1992 is one of these. The team effort put forth that night paid dividends in a quick apprehension with no injuries to citizens or our personnel. That is our equivalent of a home run, or a hole in one. You just can't do better! i As a member of that team, you contributed to this unqualified success. Whether you were the calm dispatcher on duty, the person' who spotted the get-a-way car, the officer on scene, the evidence protector, the interviewer, or you contributed in some other way; you deserve the proud congratulations herein conveyed. Enclosed is a copy of a letter from Mr. Heister at Safeway, who not only wrote this letter of appreciation to Gary Klaphake, but called us personally to express his thanks. In addition, many citizens have called to express their pride in Estes Park Police Department. Please accept my thanks and admiration. The enclosed certificates are a token of the Town's recognition for this very well done job!
