PROMOTIONAL ACTIVITY The Newcomers hosted a reception for forty new residents of Estes Valley at the Senior Center in February. Jody Thompson addressed the group and presented the Center's various services, programs and activities. Jody and Priscilla Haughey met with Stephens Ministry on March 20 to present the Meals on Wheels program. Jody will make a brief presentation about the Senior Center to the Kiwanis Club in April. A brochure is being developed for the Senior Center. In addition to public places, these will be placed in medical facilities so that the meals on wheels program is more visible to staff, patients and their families. ACTIVITIES The Leap Year Party on February 29 was very successful and-enjoyed by approximately 45 people of all ages. A repeat of this type of event will be the "Spring Fling" on April 25. Fourteen Seniors traveled to Boulder for the Fiddler on the Roof production this month. A special corned beef lunch was prepared by Don Tebow and served on St. Patrick's day. The Aspen Club (Poudre Valley Hospital) will present a health program on diabetes, focused on special Senior issues on March 29.
