Mission and Goals: Gary Klaphake, representatives of the Museum Advisory Board and Friends Board, and I have begun meeting to develop a revised mission statement and goals for the Museum which are consistent with the Town's strategic plan. This process was identified as Town Board Goal #8A. / Topics under discussion include increasing programming diversity and creating resource-sharing partnerships with other groups. 4. Programs: The Museum hosted a genealogy workshop with 23 attendees on January and is considering hosting a more comprehensive genealogy course, due to participant interest. --3 ~-, We are participating in the t*38919 This!-Cultural Arts Council activity on February 18, opening our World War II homefront poster exhibit on March 4, and developing a panel of women who lived in the Estes Park area during the war. 44 Copier: We have purchased an $1885 Canon copier with funds donated by the Friends of the Museum. 5. The request for a route from the Stanley Hotel west on Wonderview, north on MacGregor Avenue to Devils Gulch to Black Canyon Drive and return the same route to the Stanley Hotel was denied. Safety for the horse, carriage and riders is the primary concern with the left hand turns onto and off of Wonderview. You do have permission to conduct the carriage ride from the Trolley Station on Elkhorn Avenue, north on MacGregor Avenue, east on Wonderview and west on Elkhorn ending at the Trolley Station. Obtain a Business License for the event from the Town Clerk's Office - $200.00/year fee. 2. Every organizer is to furnish each event vendor with the following: • Applicable Sales Tax Chart. • Instructions that all sales tax collections must be paid directly to the Colorado Department of Revenue. Proof of the remittance to be given to the event organizer prior to being considered for inclusion in the following year's event or any additional event. Verification will be confirmed by the Special Events Department. • Colorado Business Registration Form #CR 100 (Sales Tax Application) and Colorado Department of Revenue Special Event Retail Sales Tax Form #DR0098 for vendors or sales persons without a Colorado Business License (Sales Tax License). 3. Provide a list of all vendors which includes their name, business name, mailing address and Colorado Business License (Sales Tax License) (if available) to the Special Events Department within 30 days following the event.
