Colorado 80517.
This is a petition for a variance of the zoning ordinance. It must be on file at the
office of the Building Inspector, Town of Estes Park, 10 days before any meeting of the
Board of Adjustment.
A $7.50 (seven dollars and 50 cents) fee to cover costs of processing appeals and requests
for variances shall be paid to the Town Clerk prior to any hearing.
The Petitioner or Representative should be present at the meeting.

McKEEN - SIGN VARIANCE - 201 PARK LANE:
Walter McKeen dba Golden Aspen Bed and Bath Shop presented his request
to place two wall signs advertising the name of his business at 201
Park Lane. The building has an architectural projection in the middle
of the front face which precludes installing one long sign with the
entire business name on it. A letter dated November 18, 1981 was
received from Gary Brown supporting Mr. McKeen's request. Member Al
Sager moved that because the two signs would be located in the same
plane and the two comprise the name of the business that the Board of
Adjustment determines them to be one sign. Member Meusel seconded the
motion and it passed unanimously.
RICKER - SIGN VARIANCE - 157 MORAINE AVENUE:
Judy Ricker presented her request for a projecting sign to be located
within the southerly 25% of the linear footage of the building fascia
to the building lot line (Section 17.66.300 4 of the Municipal Code).
She explained that it would be expensive to move the existing sign
approximately three feet and that there are no businesses located to
the south which would be affected by her sign. Member Jerry Lamson
moved the variance request be approved. Member Houston seconded the
motion and it passed unanimously.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
