KOMITO BOOT REPAIR SHOP:
Mr. John Chilson, attorney representing Steven Komito, owner of Lot 39,
Buenna Vista Terrace, appeared before the Board of Appeals and submitted
the attached petition that is made a part of these proceedings. Witnesses
speaking in favor of the petition were Mr. Clint Goodin, Ron Reiland and
Steven Komito. Letterswere received in favor of the petition from Dr.
Beckord, Steven Hickman, Clarence Ford and Dick Siebenaler. After con-
siderable dicussion, Member Sutter moved that the Board of Adjustment
rule a boot repair shop in this location constitutes a home occupation
and is therefore an accessory use. Member Prosser seconded the motion.
Upon roll call the motion unanimously carried.
After considerable discussion Board Member Prosser moved to grant a
variance allowing the retail sales of boots and boot accessories to Mr.
Komito at this location upon the condition that upon the filing of just
complaints within four to five years from this date by affected residents
this use would be subject to further review by the Board of Adjustment
and subsequent cancellation should the Board of Adjustment make that
decision. There was no second to the motion whereupon the Chairman de-
clared the motion lost.
Further consideration on the above matter led the Board of Adjustment to
instruct their secretary and Attorney Chilson to set the date for a public
hearing before the Board of Adjustment for further consideration of this
matter.
WEST PARK CENTER SIGN:
Mr. Herman Wolff, one of the owners of West Park Center, appeared before
the Board of Adjustment to request a variance to the eight foot setback
requirement for a free standing sign. Member Prosser moved that this
request be denied. Member Sutter seconded the motion. Upon roll call
the motion unanimously carried.
Sketches and maps of this variance request are attached to and made a
part of these proceedings.

EVANS PROPERTY, LOT 29, ELKHORN CLUB ESTATES:
Mr. Rio Evans, owner of Lot 29, Elkhorn Club Estates, appeared before
the Board to request a variance from the required fifteen foot setback.
Mr. Evans explained to the Board that due to the elevation the setback
would have to be ten feet instead of fifteen feet. This would allow

the proper elevation for connections to the sanitary sewer. Member
Sutter moved the variance request be uraoteo, a=umer Prosser uecnoueu
