Following is a list of those items and my comments and/or recommendations: 1. Will need engineer letter for deck piers that were poured before inspection was called in to verify what plans are calling for. I observed the piers and approve the installation as built. They were of the proper size and depth. 2. Missing connection for 4x4 post in back of deck on top and bottom on east side of deck. I observe the post in question. It is existing and is buried in the concrete. I approve of the installation as built. 3. Missing several nails to hangers for joist thru out deck. Missing screws. I observed that all nails and screws have been installed. 4. Footers needs to be 12Ñ you left two which are 8Ñ and one is falling over. I observed that particular footing pier. It is existing, and buried adequately to resist any overturning from the light loads imposed. I approve of the installation as built. 5. Did not install new 2x6 @ 24Ñ o.c. Between existing members. As per plan installed new 2x6s but on non-matching spacing throughout southern section of front deck. I observed the installation of all deck joists. Uneven spacing does not affect the capacity of the joist to carry loads, as the tributary area is the same. The east deck had additional joists installed to be at 8Ñ o.c. I approve of all deck joists as installed. 6. Did not build eastern section of deck per plan. On your plans it shows new 2x6 joist at 16Ñ o.c. Running east and west. You have installed them running north and south. I observed the installation of this portion of the deck. The beams, hangers, and joists as installed will support the maximum design loads imposed. I approve of the installation as built. 7. There is no flashing on house side for deck as per plan. I observed the installation of the deck flashing. A row of log siding was removed and the flashing installed per the detail. I approve of the flashing as built. 8. Missing DTT1Z as per plan for ledger. I observed the installation of the Lateral load resisting system as designed, with (4) equal spaced DTT1Z tension ties per south and east deck sections. I approve of the installation as built.
