Dear Mayor Dannels:
As you know the Estes Park Horseshow and Rodeo Committee
is considering the preparation and circulation of a
petition to place a bond issue on the ballot in the
April 1986 general election. The Purpose of the bond
issue would be to finance capital improvements at Stanley
Park.
The EPHSRC requests the assistance of Town staff, and the
Town attorney if necessary, in obtaining guidance on the
legal requirements which must be satisfied by a properly
prepared petition.
Since the EPHSRC is advisory to, and appointed by, the
Board of Trustees, we feel it would be appropriate to
obtain this guidance from Town staff.
