1. Old business
A. The landscape will be cleaned up around our historic, Champion Tree, the
state’s largest balsam poplar. Plans are for xeriscaping around the tree, some
stone benches and a plaque. Hopefully all will be done by Arbor Day.
2. New business
A. Arbor Day will be Friday morning, May 16th. There will be five celebrations
with plantings. They will be located at the Champion Tree; the tunnel by Ed’s
Cantina; the Intermediate School; the Elementary School; and the Senior
Center. Coffee and cookies will be served at the Senior Center.
B. Ninety percent of the trees that have died had dwarf mistletoe.
C. The next meeting will be at 8:30 a.m. April 11, 2003 in the Administrative
Conference Room. There will be a photo shoot with the Mayor.
Respectfully submitted,
