HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES Estes Park Centennial-BiCentennial Commission 1976-10-13MINUTES OF THE ESTES PARK CENTENNIAL -BICENTENNIAL EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING HELD
ON WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 13, 1976 at 3;00 P.M.
The special meeting of the Centennial -Bicentennial Committee Executive Committee
was balled to order by Chairman Dykes. Members present were Dykes, Chaffin, Steffens,
Mencher, Stauffer, Houston and Deffenbaugh.
1. The committee reviewed the final financial report prepared by Treasurer Margaret
Houston. Discussion of the accuracy and completeness of the report resulted in a
motion by Al Mencher that the report be accepted and forwarded to Estes Park Town
Administrator Dale Hill along with unspent petty cash in accordance with Commission
dissolution procedure outlined in Minutes of the meeting of September 13, 1976.
2. The committee reviewed contents of files of Minutes and documents acquired by
the Commission during its eighteen month existence. Secretary Ruth Deffenbaugh was
instructed to organize these materials in a notebook which can be transferred to
Town Administrator Dale Hill for permanent depost in Town archives as required by
the Colorado Centennial -Bicentennial Commission. Chairman Gene Dykes will make the
transfer as outlined in Minutes of the meeting of September 13, 1976 and will comply
with the procedures outlined in paragraphs fbur and five of the resolution referred
to in item three of those Minutes.
3. Several phone calls have indicated that many Commission members would not be
available for the regular meeting scheduled for Monday, October 18, 1976. It was
moved by Margaret Houston, seconded by Charles Chaffin, that that meetint be cancelled
and that no further formal meetings of the Commission be called unless unforeseen
matters develop that require Commission action. -he motion carried.
4. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 4:00 p.m.
