The thirteenth meeting of the Commission was called to order by the Chairman, Al Mencher, at 7:38 p.m. ub Room 100, Munici- pal Building. Members present: Esther Arnold, Brenda Blanchar, Charles Chaffin, Ruth Deffenbaugh, Jim Dunham, Gene Dykes,Dwight Hamilton, Margaret Houston, Al Mencher, Rusty Mikel, Ruth Stauffer, Moses Swindler, Marge Wolpert. The resignation of Ward Crowley by letter was accepted with regret. The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as circulated. I. Al Mencher reported on conversation with Gray Distributing Co., selling Centennial belt buckles; they promise a percentage of profits in Estes Park to the Commission. II. Dwight Hamilton reported on project to erect a sign near the Dunraven Cottage. It will be large, attractive, and permanent at a cost of $157.24. Jim Dunham will draw a sketch of Lord Dunraven and the Cottage in early days.- Ruth Stauffer will write the legend. Motion was made and carried that the sign be purchased and erected on a post, post cost not to exceed $25. III. Al Mencher reported a request from the State CBC for events in Estes Park on July 4. Moses Swindler reported on possible plans to stimulate interewt in the moustache and beard growing contest. Charles Chaffin suggested that local women be asked to make themselves in some other way conspicuous, perhaps wearing old-fashioned dresses. In discussion, it was agreed that once a week would suffice, every Friday from Memorial Day until September 25. Motion was made and carried that the Jaycees and Jay-cee-ettes be asked to spearhead the plan. Jim Dunham will write an article on how to create period costumes economically. V. Margaret Houston presented the Treasurer's report: there remains $31.39 in the General Fund of '75, with the $250 for '76 so far untouched. $12.36 in petty cash, with a $13 bill for stamps. VI.
