The minutes wereapprovedas circulated. ---There. was no treasurer's_- report since Gene Dykes could not attend. The secretary asked for money to purchase another roll of stamps. Attendance and excused absenses were noted. A discussion occurred in regard to members who have missed three consecutive meetings: a letter of dismal will be sent to Bob Wagner. Reports were asked for: F. 0. Stanley Day -chairman absent. Beard Growing Contest -chairman absent. Fund Raising -a "wishing well" is to be passed around to gather only pennies. Special cans are to be decorated for the upcoming Fine Arts Concert. "Wishing well cans" are to circulate amoung clubs. The. Question arose as to whether monies would be returned to the Town Funds or used for special projects 999 Seed money of 600 was gathered. Historical Markers -Julian Ebersold (AARP) and Brenda Blanchar and John 0wnby (high school) are to report at the next meeting. Bicentennial Films -Dwight Hamilton of Rocky Mt. Nat'l Park gave information. The Park and the Chamber will help with a projector ans screen to be available. A committee of five was named to help give programs to various clubs: Ward Crowley, Brenda Blanchar, John Ownby, and Dick Hillyer. Living Trails -chairman absent. A new member was named to the commission: Dick Hillyer, (EVIA) Box 356, 586-2453. Please add him to your membership list! Upcoming events: Friday, Sept. 19 - Fine Arts Concert Flag Presentation to our city. Tuesday, Sept. 23 - 6p.m. Bond Park Supper 6:45 p.m. raise the flag 7:30 p.m. - American Issues Forum Under old business, John Ramey reported that his 1908 film of Estes Park had been ruined. Under new business, Alice Manovitz proposed an ART SHOW for August 10-16, 1975. (Please see submitted papers in notebook.) All were in favor of it becoming a Bicentennial -Centennial Program. - A discussion on whether or not to change the meeting night came up - it will be decided upon by new officers at the October 20 meeting. An amendment proposal was made that terms for officers be six months. This viill be voted on at the October meeting also. Perhaps it would be better\to have members present equalling a quorum so that the commiss- ion could vote and take care of issues. A proposal was made to this effect and will be toted on at the October meeting. It was announced that October 4 Homecoming has the theme of the "Spirit of '76'.
