HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES Board of Directors Estes Park Golf and Country Club 1937-09-07Record of Proceedings THE ESTES PARK GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB ESTES PARK, COLORADO MINUTES MEETING BOARD OF DIRECTORS September 7, 1937 The meeting was called to order at 3:10 p.m. at the Hayden Realty Company office by Fay Brainard, Treasurer. Present were Directors Hall, Brainard, Preston, and Hayden. Mrs. Lamb, manager of the Club was also present. Mrs. Lamb read her report for the season of 1937. Suggestions made by Mrs. Lamb for repair, maintenance work and improvements include: New Caddie quarters needed, as now have great difficulty in getting and keeping sufficient caddies. Gophers are becoming serious. Suggest poisoning in .Spring. New Chairs are needed. Entrance road needs oiling. Suggested asking filling stations for crank case drainings. COLORADO MEETING of BOARD of DIRECTORS. June 10. 1937. Meeting was called to order by Pres. Gooch at 2 P. M. Directors present; Gooch, Hall, Preston, Brainard, Wiest, Hayden. Brainard brought up the matter of a refrigerator and offered one which he is replacing for two shares of Country Club Stock. Hall was requested to give estimate on electrical machinery to operate box. Hall and Brainard were requested to get estimate on installing box. The matter of additional cha!es needed in the clubhouse and porch was brought up. Mrs. Lamb was requested to make a list of the needed equipment and to obtain prices on different types of chairs when next in Denver. It was suggested to offer Valley Clubs who obtain a minimum of ten ppptippp players the privaleges of the club and course upon a payment of $15.00 each for the season. Secretary to write a form letter sounding out the clubs on their reaction to such a proposition. Nominations were declared open for a director to fill the vacancy left upon the death of Sam Service. Dr. Maitland was nominated by Gooch. Moved by Hayden Seconded by Brainard that nominations be closed and that Dr. Maitland be elected by acclimation. Motion carried. In order to bring the matter before the club it was regularly moved and seconded to allow a night driving course on the club grounds. Motion'unanimously lost. It was announced that the tournament would be held the week of July 19 as last season. On motion regulary moved seconded and carried the meeting adjourned. Secretary.%f8_ (IaLes.A4-44-er21c 32
