ES TE 3 PARK GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB
Meeting at Julian Hayden's office, 2 P.M. Thursday , Lay 17, 1934
Board of directors..
Meeting called to order by President Mills. Present were Mills,
Service, James, Gooch, Iiayden,Tiest.
Minutes of last meeting read and approved as read.
Directors agreed to try to open the club by May 24, to accomodate
rotary club luncheon on that date.
President Mills discussed renewal of Mrs. Lamb's contract with the SIh
club. Moved by Hayden and seconded by James that the contract be
on the same basis as last year's. Carried.
Gooch moved that green fees be same as last year, except that rate
of 50 cents for nine holes does not apply on Saturday or Sunday.
Seconded and carried.
Board discussed request for salary increase by "Dad" Embry. Agreed
that salary increase for Embry not feasible at this time.
Mills suggested a volunteer clean-up day to clean the clubs grounds.
Board approved,_ and left details up -to Mills, who tentatively set
the following gaturday, slay 19, for clean up.
Beer license for this year was discussed. Matter was left in abeyance.
Mills recon ended carrying out the annual tournament on the same
basis as last year, as to prizes, etc. Service moved and James
seconded election of Ralph Jones to conduct the tournament with the
assistance of Dr. L.M.Maitland, as was done la, st year.
Mills reported a new road over the grounds, graded by the county.
Also reported that Commissioner Rausler will put a bridge over fish
creek; which will also be a cattle guard. Gave credit to ;service for
securing the county's assistance.
Hayden read a letter from Eugene E. Shaw, of Casper, applying for
posijion as professional at the club. Letter was discussed, but no
action taken.
Date for the tournament was discussed, but was left open pending
study of possible conflicting dates. Agreed that it probably will
be soon after July 20.
Hayden discussed printing of an insert slip, giving; information on
the countr club, to beput into letters answering inquiries on cot-
tages, vacation acilities, etc., by business men. On motion of Mills
Hayden was appointed to investigate costs, and to draw up a suitable
publicity slip for this purpose. if it's cost is reasonable.
Gooch discussed ti memberships at reduced rate to local resident

DIRECTORS -MEETING.
THE ESTES PARK GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB
ESTES PARK, COLORADO
October 2, 1933.
Meeting was called to order by President Mills at the
Club House at 3;15 P. M. Directors present, Mills,
James, Gooch, Maitland, Service, Wiest, Hayden.
The nomination for President for the comming year was
declared open. Moved by Gooch that Joe Mills be Nominated
for President and as there were no further nominations
Joe Mills was declared unanimously elected. Dr. Maitland
was nominated for Vice President, Hayden for Secretary
and Gooch for Treasurer and as there were no further nom-
inations they were declared duly elected.
The matter of putting up ice and getting out sand for next
year was to be handled as before.
Sam Service was appointed Chairman of the Greens Committee.
The House and Tournament Committies were left to be
appointed in the spring.
On motion duly seconded and carried the meeting adjourned.
