DISCUSSION OF DRAFT REPORT.
The Committee continued discussion related to drafting the final report. Kimberly
Campbell reported that she has been working on the time frame section and conclusion
and has incorporated comments and additional content from the Committee into the
report. Items still needing to be addressed include: the appendix; images, graphics,
and diagrams; shuttle statistics for 2011; visitation statistics; results of the TVC
prioritization exercises; and data from the public outreach sessions. The report will also
emphasize the Committee's consideration of the transportation needs of year-round
residents as well as those of visitors; and include a recommendation for the creation of
an ongoing citizen committee to monitor transportation recommendations and projects
on an annual or semi-annual basis.
Greg Rosener noted that the TVC report was a topic of discussion at the March 7th
Mayor's Chat with residents asking when the report would be available and how the
report addresses the transportation concems of the retired community. The Committee
members concurred that, with the support of the Town Board, the report should be
made available to service organizations and local civic groups through presentations to
the community with TVC members participating in the presentations.
Co -Chair Ericson requested that Committee members continue to provide Kimberly
Campbell with feedback on the draft report and forward content and comments for
inclusion in Draft 11 to her. The next draft will be reviewed at the March 14th meeting.
FUTURE MEETINGS.
The next meeting of the Transportation Visioning Committee will be held on
Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at 3:00 p.m. in Town Hall Room 202.
