Mayor ProTem Hix called the joint meeting to order at 1:06 P.M.
WEST ELKHORN PARKING LOT ACQUISITION - UPDATE.
Executive Director Anderson reported EPURA has reached a success-
ful end in the negotiations involving the purchase of the "old
lumberyard property." This acquisition will allow construction
of the sidewalk. Sidewalk construction and the street alignment
will be accomplished simultaneously, and work should begin by May
1st, with completion anticipated by mid June. The parking lot
will receive a gravel surface pending funding. EPURA has re-
ceived the State Highway Department's approval for the curb cuts.
Director Anderson advised certain adjacent property is owned by
the Town.
EPURA has met with a limited number of those affected property
owners to discuss potential traffic disruptions. The Trustees
suggested EPURA staff meet with all property owners prior to
construction.
Concerning the amount of streetscape activity, Director Anderson
reported the area will resemble Streetscape, Phase 3.
There being no further business, Mayor ProTem Hix adjourned the
meeting at 1:15 P.M.
