RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS Joint Session Board of Trustees/Estes Park Urban Renewal Authority March 7, 1989 Board of Trustees: Mayor Dannels, Trustees Aldrich, Barker, Dickinson, Garrett, Habecker, and Hix Board of Commissioners: Chairman Phares, Commissioners Ericson, Godbolt, Hondius, Pauley, and Pohl Attending: Also Attending: Absent: Trustees Aldrich, Barker, Garrett, Habecker and Hix, Chairman Phares, Commissioners Godbolt, Pohl, and Hondius Town Administrator/Commissioner Klaphake, Public Works Director Widmer, Community Development Director Stamey, Executive Director Anderson, Clerk O'Connor Mayor Dannels, Trustee Dickinson, Commissioners Ericson and Pauley Mayor ProTem Hix called the joint meeting to order at 1:06 P.M. WEST ELKHORN PARKING LOT ACQUISITION - UPDATE. Executive Director Anderson reported EPURA has reached a success- ful end in the negotiations involving the purchase of the "old lumberyard property." This acquisition will allow construction of the sidewalk. Sidewalk construction and the street alignment will be accomplished simultaneously, and work should begin by May 1st, with completion anticipated by mid June. The parking lot will receive a gravel surface pending funding. EPURA has re- ceived the State Highway Department's approval for the curb cuts. Director Anderson advised certain adjacent property is owned by the Town. EPURA has met with a limited number of those affected property owners to discuss potential traffic disruptions. The Trustees suggested EPURA staff meet with all property owners prior to construction. Concerning the amount of streetscape activity, Director Anderson reported the area will resemble Streetscape, Phase 3. There being no further business, Mayor ProTem Hix adjourned the meeting at 1:15 P.M. Vickie O'Connor, Town Clerk
