Mayor Dannels called the joint meeting of the Town Board and
EPURA to order at 1:30 P.M.
PARK MANAGEMENT REGULATIONS - DISCUSSION
The Town Board expressed a desire to incorporate the Park Manage-
ment Regulations for all parks, excluding Stanley Park. Town
staff will develop recommendations and present them to the Town
Board for approval.
Commissioner Pohl stated the first performance is scheduled to
take place July 1, 1988, and suggested the regulations be adopted
prior to that date.
The regulations will establish the permit process and who
will/will not be required to furnish insurance certificates.
The Board of Trustees stated they were in general agreement with
the guidelines as prepared by EPURA, adding, signage will be
limited in size.
By ordinance, noise is restricted to 40' from the perimeter.
Lou Canaiy stated: (1) the Town Board may be "putting their
heads in a noose"; and (2) citizens outside EPURA's district have
stated that their needs have not been met; i.e.: streetlights,
sidewalk, etc.
Commissioner Hondius stated the Town had to begin improvements
and this project was initiated in the downtown district pursuant
to the Lawn Lake Flood.
Chairman Phares stated the river area is just the beginning of
development.
There being no further business, Mayor Dannels adjourned the
meeting at 2:03 P.M.
