at 1:30 P.M.
WATSON "ICE HOUSE PROPERTY" - UPDATE.
Court Trial. Director Anderson advised the court trial was held April 27 -
29, 1988. The court awarded Mr. Watson $40,000 for the aforementioned
land. Mr. Watson has 15 days to appeal the process; the award of $40,000
cannot be appealed.
Ice House Building - Demolition. Director Anderson requested the Town
demolish the aforementioned building and clear the site. The gravel lot
could then be used for parking during the summer season. EPURA does not
have specific development plans for this site at the present time. Mayor
Dannels referred this item to the Public Works Committee for further
consideration. The Committee will review prior arrangements whereby the
Town provided all labor for the demolition and EPURA provided all landfill
dump fees.
Development for the North Side of the River/Tregent Park. At such time as
the Watson site is developed, the north side of the river at Tregent Park
will also be included.
ENTERTAINMENT GUIDELINES - RIVERSIDE PLAZA.
Both Boards reviewed a set of management rules for entertainment at
Riverside Plaza. Director Anderson requested input from those in
attendance and advised the list would also be submitted to the Town Planner
and Planning Commission. Discussion followed regarding the existing Sign
Code Ordinance, existing criteria allowing use in Bond Park, and Liability
Insurance. Mayor Dannels directed Town Administrator Klaphake and/or
Finance Officer Vavra to contact CIRSA to confirm whether or not Riverside
Plaza is actually included under the Town's insurance policy. Commissioner
Hondius requested Executive Director Anderson separate those rules included
in the Municipal Code which could he enforced by the Town, and those rules
which would become "administrative" actions which would be enforced by
EPURA
REPORTS.
EPURA will encourage Heath Construction to reduce their staging areas and
return parking in the Dark Horse Lot by Memorial Day Weekend.
EPURA has invited Governor Romer to attend the Riverside Plaza Dedication
Ceremony. Additional State and Local Elected Officials will also be
invited to attend.
There being no further business, Mayor Dannels adjourned the meeting at
2:03 P.M.
