Executive Director Anderson submitted the following priority list of 1988 Projects to be undertaken following completion of Conflu- ence Park/Plaza: 1. West Elkhorn Avenue from Spruce Drive to the east side of West Park Center (north side of the street only) $50/60,000± 2. East side of the Highway 34/36 Intersection (adjacent to Tallant Park Addition) (minor cleanup/beautification project) $10,000± 3. Confluence Park/Plaza improvements associated with arcade area (assuming arcade can be acquired)$40,000± plus property acquisition. 4. East Riverside Drive River Project (Rockwell to the Big Thompson Bridge) $70,000± Subsequent projects, depending upon funding availability include construction for the "Ice House" parking lot; short version of East Elkhorn River Corridor; Virginia Drive to the Courtyard; East Riverside Park; long version of the East Elkhorn River Corridor. Deferred items include Moraine Avenue Streetscape, Library and parking. Director Anderson summarized events to date pertaining to the Watson court action concerning the "Ice House" property. Mayor Dannels reported that consensus of the Board of Trustees was to initiate a public hearing to consider possible amendments to the Urban Renewal Plan. A schedule will be prepared as soon as possible. Mayor Dannels stated the cost of maintenance for Urban Renewal Projects is outpacing the Town's ability to provide services and a review of the Plan is necessitated at this time. REPORTS: Work on the Confluence Park Projects is progressing. Approxi- mately 80% of the rock setting has been completed. Few "change orders" have been issued. BRADFORD PUBLISHING CO. RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS Joint Session - January 5, 1988 - Page two Negotiations for development of the Boyd Building should lead to final agreement. The developer has stated if an agreement is reached by March 1st, redevelopment could be completed by June 1st. Negotiations are underway for acquisition of the "arcade" proper- ty. Approximately 50% of the miniature "Mountain Legacy" sculptures have been sold; an ad has been placed in an art magazine in an effort to expedite sales. Director Anderson advised the sculp- ture determined placement of the figures in the traffic island. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned. Vickie O'Connor, Town Clerk
