DENVER RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS ✓ Stanley Park Committee December 6, 1982 Committee: Attending: Also Attending: Chairman Wagner, Trustees Dannels and Wood Chairman Wagner, Trustees Dannels and Wood Mayor Tregent, Town Administrator Hill, Public Works Director Widmer, Manager Bob Scott and several members of the Estes Park Horse Show and Rodeo Committee ANNUAL SHOW REPORT: The Estes Park Horse Show and Rodeo Committee presented their annual financial report indicating the difference between the ticket sales and expenses directly connected to each show. The financial report indicated the following: Income from all shows Expenses for all shows Other expenditures for Stanley Park $ 76,557.10 (47,977.99) (142,997.01) Difference $(114,417.90) 1983 ESTES PARK HORSE SHOW AND RODEO COMMITTEE MEMBERS: Manager Bob Scott submitted a list of the recommended members of the Estes Park Horse Show and Rodeo Committee and their respective assignments. They are as follows: Acton, Dave Ault, Robert Cherbeneau, Lou Cowles, Wanda DeHaan, Fred Dill, Rick Donnelly, Don Havens, George Linegar, Ned Martin, Mike McMillin, Les Metzler, Wes Osborn, Ron Smith, Henry Thomas, Chuck Thomas, Dave VerStraeten, Dale Wheeler, Wally Associate Members: Bigler, Craig Kirk, Peggy Oldham, George Rice, Adie Russell, Rick Arabians Westernaires Hunter -Jumpers Secretary Arabians Arabians President & Rodeos High School Rodeo Advertising Appaloosa P.O.A. Westernaires & Rooftop Parade Paints Co. High School Rodeo & Treasurer Hunter -Jumpers Rooftop Rodeo Morgans Honorary Member: Brownfield, Jerry The Committee recommends that the individuals listed be invited to serve on the Estes Park Horse Show and Rodeo Committee. DENVER RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS Stanley Park Committee - December 6, 1982 - Page 2 MARKET STUDY COMMENTS: Director Widmer and Manager Scott reported that Matthew Bixler of BBC has been gathering data for the feasibility study at Stanley Park. Mr. Bixler should be submitting a rough draft of his report to the Town before Christmas, 1982. NEW BARN/STALL BID OPENING: Manager Bob Scott presented the bids for the new barn/stalls. The following bids were received for building 88 new barn/stalls at Stanley Park: Sounders Construction Barnes Construction & Interiors Morton Buildings, Inc. Whitlock Construction Geise-Skipworth Buildings $117,636.79 $107,300.00 $163,082.00 $ 97,672.00 $106,145.00 The Committee recommends that the Town staff contact the low bidder and explain the necessity for a contract and performance bond. If the contract and performance bond can be accomplished to the Town's satisfaction, the Committee recommends awarding the bid to Whitlock Construction at a cost of $97,672.00.
