RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS V Stanley Park Committee May 21, 1984 Committee: Attending: Also Attending: Chairman Wood, Trustees Hix and Laing Chairman Wood, Trustee Hix Administrator Hill, Public Works Director Widmer, Manager Scott, Chief Ault, Secretary O'Connor ARABIAN HORSE SHOW AGREEMENT: Manager Scott submitted the Arabian Horse Show Agreement which includes a rate increase. After discussion, the Committee recommends approval of the agreement. MORGAN HORSE SHOW AGREEMENT: Manager Scott submitted the Morgan Horse Show Agreement which is a 5-year contract. The agreement contains the stipulation "if and when the race track is not used, the contract will become null and void." After discussion, the Committee recommends approval of the agreement. KIMBERLEY PROMOTIONS: A proposal, submitted by Larry Sullivan/Kimberley Promotions, was reviewed. Mr. Sullivan proposed organizing a Fall Frontier Festival which would benefit the Rocky Mountain Nature Asso- ciation. Mr. James Thompson, Rocky Mountain National Park, is very supportive of the proposal. Due to possible conflicts with existing agreements, the Committee recommends further background information be obtained prior to making a decision on the pro- posal. SENIOR CITIZENS BOARD - REQUEST FOR ADDITION: A letter, submitted by Bob Schultz, Chairman of the Board of the Estes Park Senior Citizens' Center, Inc., was reviewed. The center proposes a 24'x50' addition which would double the size of the existing building. After discussion, the Committee recom- mends Chairman Wood, Director Widmer and Manager Scott meet with the Senior Citizens Board to identify the exact location of the proposed addition and decide what effect the addition might have on the adjacent race track.
