RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS ✓ Stanley Park Committee September 24, 1984 Committee: Chairman Wood, Trustees Hix and Laing Attending: Chairman Wood, Trustees Hix and Laing Also Attending: Administrator Hill, Manager Scott, Chief Ault, Finance Officer Vavra, Planner Stamey, Public Works Director Widmer, Henry Smith, Clerk O'Connor HAY BARN BIDS: The firm of Geise Skipworth submitted the only bid for con- struction of a hay barn. The bid amount is $27,970.00. Due to the fact that the Stanley Park Master Plan is now in the draft stage, and exact location of the buildings is in doubt, the Committee recommends not building the hay barn this year. STANLEY PARK MASTER PLAN - DRAFT: The Horse Show and Rodeo Committee has reviewed the draft plan and has the following recommendations: The "square -shaped" arenas should be "oval." Eliminate the arena on the west and leave the area open for an additional 100-stall barn. Add a loading dock. Showers should be added to the restrooms in the camping area. Have two doors instead of one door for the entrance to the Grandstand area for better traffic flow. The detention ponds should be eliminated. The Horse Show and Rodeo Committee basically agree with the location of the hay barn on the Master Plan. Manager Scott stated the he felt the estimate on the Master Plan of $4 Million Dollars is quite low. The Committee set a public meeting for review of the Stanley Park Master Plan Draft for Thursday, October 11, 1984 at 7:30 P.M. in the Board Room of the Municipal Building. The Committee recommends taking the draft plan under advisement at this time. BUDGET REVIEW - 1985: Manager Scott advised the Committee it was recently discovered the Concession Stand located in Stanley Park was not connected to the existing sewer system. Following discussion, the Committee recommends extending a sewer line (approximately 100 feet) to the Concession Stand to as soon as possible and that the installation be accomplished "in house." Funds for this project will be available under the Stanley Park Fund - Expenses, 1984. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned. Vickie O'Connor, Town Clerk
