DENVER RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS / Stanley Park Committee March 25, 1985 Committee: Chairman Wood, Trustees Hix and Laing Attending: Trustees Hix and Laing Also Attending: Town Administrator Hill, Manager Scott, Public Works Director Widmer, Finance Officer Vavra, Ray Keller/Estes Park Horse Show and Rodeo Committee, Clerk O'Connor Absent: Chairman Wood LIONS CLUB CONCESSION CONTRACT: The existing 5-year contract between the Estes Park Lions Club and the Town will expire in June, 1985; therefore, the Lions Club has prepared a new contract which proposes a five -year lease, 30% of net profits be paid as rent for the premises and exclusive concession for the sale of all food, drink and tobacco products located at Stanley Park. The Estes Park Horse Show and Rodeo Committee has reviewed the new contract and recommends a one-year lease, 50% of the net profits, and, as long as a different type of food is sold, other than that offered at the Concession Stand, no exclusive on food. The Committee recommends the Estes Park Lions Club Concession Contract be tabled until such time as a Lions Club representative will be present to address the Committee. ARENA "C" - REVIEW OF BID PROPOSAL: The Committee reviewed a bid proposal for 3/4" road base including digging and hauling material on site for Arena C submitted by Jim Nytes. The digging and hauling bid was $1,500; the 3/4" road base price was $2.99/ton if the Public Works Department purchased 2,600 ton ($7,792) and Stanley Park purchased 1,400 ton ($4,186). The Committee recommends accepting the bid proposal submitted by Jim Nytes for 1,400 tons of 3/4" road base, and $1,500 for the digging and hauling on site for a total bid package of $5,686.00. COMMERCIAL EXHIBITOR CONTRACTS: Manager Scott presented the following Commercial Exhibitor Contracts for approval: Best Friends, Franktown Feed and Tack, Hobby Horse Trailer Sales, Leather Connections, and Port -A -Stall. Manager Scott advised the Committee all of the aforementioned exhibitors are renewing their contracts for 1985. The Committee recommends approval of the five Commercial Exhibitor Contracts.
