Authorization to purchase a 3/4-Ton Pickup Truck was recommended
by the Committee February 24, 1986. A total of $14,000 was
budgeted in 1986 for this purchase; the pickup was purchased for
$9,232.60. At present the Committee considered the options, such
as a fuel tank, pump and tool box. An estimated expenditure is
$1,283.00 which would make the total truck package $10,515,
resulting in a savings of approximately $3,485. The
echase Committee
e
recommends Manager Scott be authorized to p
uraforementioned pickup truck options for an estimated expenditure
of $1,283.00.

RV CAMPSITES - AUTHORIZATION TO CANCEL CONNECTION TO THE SEWER
LINE AND INSTALL A "DUMP STATION":
In comparing surveys, connection to the sewer line could be as
much as three feet above the ground. An estimated cost for the
"fill" is $20,000. The Horse Show and Rodeo Committee has
recommended the campground not be connected to the sewer line and
that an 8" "dump station" be installed. The Committee recommends
tabling this request for one month to allow Town Engineer Widmer
an opportunity to review all pertinent information.
BARN REMODELING vs. MEETING ROOM:
The 1986 Budget contains $25,000 for maintenance which was
originally set aside to remodel two barns. The Horse Show and
Rodeo Committee has recommended priority be given to remodeling a
portion of the hay barn for a meeting room. The room could be
rented to the various horse shows at a rate of $100/show.
Manager Scott advised requests for a meeting room had been made
by the various horse show participants, not the Horse Show and
Rodeo Committee. An estimated expenditure is $6,000 which does
include the furnishings. A meeting room is included in the
Stanley Park Master Plan. Out of a total of 19 barns, nine have
been remodeled thus far. Any remaining funds in the maintenance
account will be used for barn remodeling. The Committee recom-
mends priority be given to remodeling a portion of the hay barn
for a meeting room, remodeling the additional barns as funds are
available.
HORSE SHOW CONTRACT:
The Committee reviewed the standard horse show contract submitted
by Rocky Mountain Miniature Horse Association for a show
scheduled June 18 - 22, 1986. The Committee recommends approval
of the aforementioned contract.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
