1991 ROOFTOP RODEO - REPORT.
Rodeo Chairman Barker reported that 1991 income was $88,899 and expenses were
$79,062, resulting in a profit of $9,837.00. Any profits are applied toward
the yearly transfer from the Town's General Fund. The ticket count report
and proposed 1992 Rooftop Rodeo Schedule were also reviewed. The 1992 Budget
includes an additional $3,000 to be used for the stock contractor, increase
in "purse" money for contestants, and inclusion of an additional dance.
Trustee Garrett questioned whether the Annual Rooftop Rodeo Parade could
follow a theme recognizing the Town's 75th Anniversary, and reported that the
75th Anniversary Committee is also planning a dance in July.
BARN RELOCATION - REVIEW OF BIDS.
Although the contract for construction of an indoor arena has been tabled
pending confirmation from the bond attorney relative to financing, bids were
solicited to relocate one to possibly three barns. As more than one method
of moving the barns was presented, Director Scott requested this item be
tabled pending verification of the moving methods. The Committee concurred
with staff's request, thus no further action was taken.
ESTES PARK ROOFTOP RODEO COMMITTEE - RESIGNATION.
The Committee reviewed a letter of resignation submitted by Carol Ball. The
Committee expressed their gratitude to Ms. Ball for her participation in the
Rodeo Committee, and, with regret, recommends accepting the resignation. The
Rooftop Rodeo Committee will submit a replacement in January/February.
