HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES Police Committee 1966-09-19RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS Police Committee September 19, 1966 Committee: Chairman Petrocine; Trustees Grove and Tregent Attending: Chairman Petrocine; Trustees Grove and Tregent Also Attending: Town Clerk Hill Absent: None Cattle at Large: Mayor Graves requested the Police Committee meet and discuss the problem arising by cattle running at large within the Town of Estes Park. The most recent occunmnce was this past weekend at the Lake Estes Motel. Chairman Petrocine reviewed the past history of the Town's experience with the above mentioned problem. The Clerk reported the Town Attorney's legal opinion in handling this problem. The Clerk was also instructed to check with the State Board of Stock Inspection Commissioners for any sug- gestions they might have in regard to a practical solution to this problem. Ambulance Service: Chairman Petrocine reported the negotiations he has conducted with Mr. James Conant in regard to the Ambulance Service. The Police Committee recommends to the Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes Park that a supplement be added to the present ambulance contract and it shall include the following items: 1. Mr. James Conant shall work a 40-hour week for the Town of Estes Park and for this he shall be paid at the rate of $375.00 per month. 2. Mr. Conant's job shall permit him to handle ambulance calls during his regular work shift. 3. The $100.00 per month guarantee shall be voided. 4. Mr. Conant shall furnish all stand-by drivers and attendants. The Police Committee recommends Mr. Conant's resignation from the Police Department become effective as of October 1, 1966, and that the above agree- ment also become effective the same date.
