HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES Police Committee 1967-11-07RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS Police Committee November 7, 1967 Committee: Chairman Petrocine; Trustee Grove and Trustee Tregent Attending: Chairman Petrocine; Trustee Grove and Trustee Tregent Also Attending: Town Clerk Hill The Committee recommends to the Board of Trustees that the policy be established having the Town Attorney represent the Town in all court cases in which the defendent is represented by counsel. Chairman Petrocine informed the Committee that new emergency lights have been installed on the Police Cars. The Committee authorized the Chief of Police to attend the second annual Rocky Mountain Institute of Police and Community Relations at Colorado State University on November 16 and 17, 1967. The Committee discussed the need for additional space for the Police Department. The Committee will survey the area now used and study the future needs of the Department. The Chief is instructed to have the Police Signal Light raised to the proper elevation. The Committee discussed the delinquent Occupation Tax Licenses. This will be discussed again at the next meeting to be held on November 29, 1967. The Clerk was instructed to arrange a meeting between the State Highway Department, Street Committee and the Police Committee to discuss the traffic control signs and devices at the intersection of Big Thompson Avenue and Saint Vrain Avenue and also the intersection of Moraine Avenue and Crags Drive. The Committee instructed the Clerk to provide the Chief with a copy of the minutes of the Police Committee meeting dated August 22, 1967.
