Janousek, and Town Clerk Dale G. Hill Absent: Trustee Tregent The Committee again discussed Mrs. Jean Seybold's request to have her working hours reduced from a forty-eight hour week to a forty hour week. The Committee recommends approval of this request with the provision that the hourly rate of pay remain the same ($1.62.2). Mrs. Seybold will receive consideration for a raise in pay at such time as this con- sideration is given the entire Department. The Police Committee recommends to the Board of Trustees that the Town Attorney prosecute all cases in which a complaining witness files the complaint and the defendent is represented by counsel and that the Town Attorney interview the complaining witness prior to the filing of the complaint. The Committee recommends to the Board of Trustees that Chapter 9.3 of the Municipal Code be amended effective May 1, 1968, raising the Police Magistrates salary to $1,800.00 per annum. Chief Banks appeared before the Committee and asked that the Town adopt the contributory type policemen's pension plan. After considerable discussion, the Committee decided to discuss this request further at a future meeting when all members are present. Tickets 385 369 575 415 Contacts 4133 3726 2720 5656 The Police Committee recommends to the Board of Trustees that the Police Chief and Sergeant be give a three per cent salary increase and the rest of the department be give a five per cent salary increase, effective February 1, 1968. The reason for these is, the general need for a salary increase plus the increase in the cost of living. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
