Police Committee Meeting
September 12, 1968
Committee: Chairman Tregent; Trustees Swanson and Steele

Absent: Trustee Swanson
The Police Committee authorized Mr. James Conant and Mr. Ken Curtis
to attend an ambulance school in Denver, September 18, 1968 through
September 21, 1968. All costs in relation to this school will be
paid by Mr. Conant. The proper standby service will be arranged.
The Committee discussed the complaint submitted by Dr. Robert Metz
that he had been charged $35.00 for a local ambulance call. The
ambulance contract now in effect requires this charge be $12,50.
Mr. Conant agreed that he would refund the difference($22.50 to
Dr. Metz. The Committee discussed with Mr. Conant, the possibility
of revising the ambulance contract rates. Mr. Conant will submit
an up to date financial statement. The Committee will review the
rates as soon as local comparisons with other communities are avail-
able.
The Committee discussed the need for an arrangement to dispose of
unwanted dogs. Chief Banks is authorized to make the necessary
arrangements with either Larimer County or Boulder County. The
Committee recommends the Stanley Park truck be made available to the
Dog Warden during the winter season.
The Committee reviewed the delinquent occupation tax.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
