Police Committee Meeting
March 13, 1968
Committee: Chairman Petrocine; Trustees Grove and Tregent
Attending: Chairman Petrocine, Trustee Grove.
Also attending: Chief Banks, Town Clerk Hill.
Absent: Trustee Tregent.
The Committee recommends the Board of Trustees instruct the Town Attorney
to draw the necessary ordinance amending Chapter 14.5 "Transportation
of Flammable Liquids," Municipal Code, Town of Estes Park. The Police
Committee minutes of May 17, 1967 contain the necessary information.
Chief Banks' request for repairs to the Police Station is referred to
the Public Buildings and Parks Committee.
The Police Committee along with the Chief of Police discussed the police
department records and their availability to the newspaper and radio
station. Both the Committee and the Police Chief indicated they wish
to cooperate completely and records will be available to the press and
radio.
The Committee decided to table further discussion on the Policemen's
Pension plan.
The Committee was informed the new procedures in regard to the occupation
tax as directed by the Committee are being implemented. The tax decals
are ordered and files are being established by the Police Department and
C1 rk's office.
Chief Banks was given authority to borrow a walkie-talkie radio set
from the Colorado State Patrol for the purpose of testing. Chief Banks
will obtain additional information on prices, etc. and report at the
next meeting.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
