Attending: Chairman Tregent; Trustees Erickson and Steele
Also Attending: Town Administrator Hill
Mesdames Anderson, Noyes, Johnson and Chapman, representing the Estes
Park Quota Club, met with the Police Committee to discuss the Ambulance
Fund Drive.
The Quota Club informed the Police Committee that the Ambulance Fund
Drive has now reached a total of $15,097.50.
The funds in excess of the amount needed to purchase a new ambulance
will be earmarked for current and future ambulance expenses.
After considerable discussion and with a strong recommendation from the
Quota Club, the Committee recommends to the Board of Trustees that the
present ambulance be retained and used along with the proposed new
vehicle. This recommendation is made with assurance from the Quota
Club that volunteer help can be obtained to staff this ambulance.
The Quota Club is obtaining information of all types concerning a volunteer
ambulance service. Some of these points of information are insurance,
training, financing, etc.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
