HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES Police Committee 1970-01-05r RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS Police Committee January 5, 1970 Committee: Chairman Tregent; Trustees Erickson and Steele Attending: Chairman Tregent; Trustees Erickson and Steele Also Attending: Town Administrator Hill Mesdames Anderson, Noyes, Johnson and Chapman, representing the Estes Park Quota Club, met with the Police Committee to discuss the Ambulance Fund Drive. The Quota Club informed the Police Committee that the Ambulance Fund Drive has now reached a total of $15,097.50. The funds in excess of the amount needed to purchase a new ambulance will be earmarked for current and future ambulance expenses. After considerable discussion and with a strong recommendation from the Quota Club, the Committee recommends to the Board of Trustees that the present ambulance be retained and used along with the proposed new vehicle. This recommendation is made with assurance from the Quota Club that volunteer help can be obtained to staff this ambulance. The Quota Club is obtaining information of all types concerning a volunteer ambulance service. Some of these points of information are insurance, training, financing, etc. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned. Town Administrator JAN 12 1970
