Public Safety Committee
September 8, 1970
Committee: Chairman Petrocine; Trustees Tregent and Brownfield

Also Attending: Town Administrator Hill and Police Chief Ault
The Committee reviewed the 1971 Public Safety budget in detail and will
submit the same to the Board of Trustees on September 14, 1970.
Chief Ault will meet with the school principals in the near future to
discuss the letter written May 28, 1970, by the school attorney, Mr.
Frank Starkey.
The Estes Park Ambulance Service submitted a request for payment in the
amount of $176.00 for standby help during the period of time Mr. Conant
was away from Estes Park picking up the new ambulance. The Committee
recommends this request be denied.
The Estes Park Ambulance Service requests the Town pay for standby help
while Mr. Conant is in the valley having the ambulance repaired. The
Committee recommends this request be denied.
Chief Ault reported Mrs. L. E. Grace has sent the Police Department a
check in the amount of $50.00 in appreciation of services rendered.
The Committee instructed Chief Ault to return the check to Mrs. Grace
with a letter of thanks explaining the Town's policy not to accept
payment from its citizens for police services.
Chief Ault submitted the regular monthly police reports.
The Estes Park Ambulance Service submitted their financial statement
for the six month period ending June 30, 1970.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
