HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES Public Safety Committee 1970-04-30RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS Public Safety Committee April 30, 1970 Committee: Chairman Petrocine; Trustees Tregent and Brownfield Attending: Chairman Petrocine; Trustee Tregent Also Attending: Town Administrator Hill and Police Chief Ault Absent: Trustee Brownfield AMBULANCE: As directed by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes Park, the Committee discussed a letter, dated April 25, 1970, from Mr. James 0. Conant. This letter is attached to and made a part of these proceed- ings. The Committee instructed the Town Administator to acknowledge Mr. Conant's letter and invite him to a Public Safety meeting on May 6, 1970, at 3:00 P.M. Due to the absence from Estes Park of Mrs. E. R. Anderson, President of the Quota Club, and Trustee Brownfield, the Committee decided to meet with interested parties some convenient date after May 11, 1970. POLICE REPORTS: Chief Ault discussed the monthly reports along with the employee evalua- tion sheets with the Committee. POLICE PERSONNEL: Chief Ault discussed his department personnel plans with the Committee, SCHOOLING: Chief Ault reported on the various training schools attended by the Police Department personnel., There being no further business, the meeti Dale G. Hill, Town Administrator ;�. art f1 S t MAY 11 1970 Estes Park, Colorado April 25, 1970 Ambulance Committee for the Town of Estes Park Box 1200 Estes Park, Colorado 80517 Re: 60 day notice of resignation Gentlemen: I cannot continue as operator of the Estes Park Ambulance Service under the present contract. I am, therefore, submitting my 60 day notice of resignation, subject to drastic changes in the present setup. These changes would be as follows: 1. The amount of $744.00 paid by the County on the basis of unpaid bills outside the city limits, which money was all supposed to have been given to me, as -operator of the am- bulance service and which was, instead, put into the fund of the Town for dispensation. 2. Reasonable time off duty each week._ 3. Two weeks paid vacation each year. 4. A definite increase in salary. 5. Adequate paid help - 2 men and myself 6. Opportunity to attend training sessions on Ambulance Service in the Denver area. This resignation will take effect 60 days from April 27th,-or June 26th, unless we can come to an agreement.
