THROUGH TRAFFIC LANE - 200 BLOCK, EAST ELKHORN AVENUE:
As directed by the Board of Trustees, the Committee discussed Mr. Bacon's
request of April 18, 1972, in which he requested the through traffic lane
in the 200 block of East Elkhorn Avenue be eliminated. Mr. John Ramey
submitted a letter, dated April 27, 1972, suggesting the same thing and
also appeared in person before the Committee. Mr. Ramey suggested that
the Committee either eliminate the through traffic lane in the 200 block
or extend the through traffic lane to theElkhorn Avenue intersection
of highways 34 and 36. The Committee recommends to the Board of Trustees
that the traffic lightat the intersection of MacGregor Avenue and East
Elkhorn Avenue remain in operation as it is now and that no loading
zone should be allowed in the 200 block of East Elkhorn Avenue. The

Mr. Conant, owner of the Estes Park Ambulance Company, appeared before
the Public Safety Committee. Mr. Conant discussed the financial problems
of the Estes Park Ambulance Company. It was apparent that Mr. Conant's
greatest concern is with the uncollectible accounts for service. The

for the months of June, July and August in place of the five seasonal
officers on the work schedule,as previously outlined. A salary saving
of $500.00 will result. The Committee recommends approval of this
suggestion.
PARKING AND "U" TURNS:
Chief Ault suggests parking (except time limits) and "U" turn require-
ments be enforced year around. This enforcement will require adequate
"signing"? be maintained. Chief Ault indicated ample notice will be
provided citizens prior to any tickets being issued. The Committee
recommends approval.
STANLEY AVENUE THROUGH STREET:
Chief Ault recommended Stanley Avenue be designated as a through street
and the necessary stop signs be installed. The Committee recommends
