Attending: Chairman Burgess, Trustees Petrocine and Sutter
Also Attending: Chief of Police Robert Ault

PARKING FOR FREIGHT UNLOADING:
Walt Davidson appeared before the Committee to discuss various parking
problems he had encountered in unloading freight. He specified Wiest
Drive and Cleave Street as particular problem areas. The Committee
advised Mr. Davidson that it would study the situation and report
back at a future Committee meeting.
SHERIFF'S OFFICE SIGNS:
A request for signs identifying the location of the Sheriff's office
was considered by the Committee. Leo Baker appeared on behalf of the
Larimer County Sheriff's Department. Two alternatives discussed were
the placement of a sign next to the existing outdoor "Police" sign
which would be of the same style and material, and/or standard blue
and white directional signs (such as the current hospital signs) at
various locations in the Town. Mr. Baker stated he would suggest
these alternatives to the Sheriff for his comments. The Committee
directed Police Chief Ault to investigate the possibility of obtaining
the blue and white directional signs.
VEHICLE BIDS:
The following bids were received for Police Department vehicles:
Estes Park Ford
Estes Park Garage
Ford Custom 500 $4,740.27
Ford Torino $4,464.45
Fury Pursuit $4,475.82
Gran Fury Pursuit $4,520.35
(option: rear window 80.90
defogger)
The Committee recommends accepting the Estes Park Garage bid for
two Fury Pursuits with the rear window defogger option. The amount
exceeding the budgeted amount (approximately $1,100) will be appro-
priated from the general contingency fund.
ANTENNAS:
A letter dated March 24, 1976 was received from Max Gebauer of the
State Division of Communications requesting relocation of the present
antenna on Prospect Mountain. After considering alternative locations,
the Committee, favorable to such a relocation, decided to study the
matter further.
ORDINANCE REGARDING BAR DISTURBANCES:
Chief Ault suggested that an ordinance be adopted which would require
all liquor license holders to report any fight or disturbance to the
Police Department, and to post a sign on the premises stating such.
The Committee directed Chief Ault to have such an ordinance drawn.
INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF CHIEFS OF POLICE:
The Committee authorized Chief of Police Ault to attend the I.A.C.P.
