HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES Public Safety Committee 1978-04-27RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS Public Safety Committee April 27, 1978 Committee: Chairman Swickard, Trustees Burgess and Sutter Attending: Chairman Swickard, Trustees Burgess and Sutter Also Attending: Mayor Tregent, Trustee Rumley, Town Administrator Hill, Police Chief Ault SALE OF POLICE VEHICLES: A verbal offer was received from the Larimer County Sheriff's posse for the two vehicles being sold by the Estes Park Police Department. Chief Ault informed the Committee that he had already advertised the sale of the vehicles and received two sealed bids. The Committee recommends the Sheriff's posse also submit a bid and that all bids be reviewed by the Committee. POLICE DEPARTMENT RULES AND REGULATIONS: The Committee recommends approval of the revised Police Department Rules and Regulations. ANIMAL CONTROL SERVICES: Dr. Metzler has requested the Town consider a monthly fee for animal control services rather than the present per animal basis. He will submit more information for the Committee's consideration at a later date. PEAK TO PEAK MARATHON: Dr. Bruce Beckord requested the Town block off MacGregor Avenue between Elkhorn Avenue and Highway 34 Bypass for two hours on June 18th for the finish line of the Peak to Peak Marathon. The Committee recommends Chief Ault work with Dr. Beckord to close only a portion MacGregor Avenue and to not interfere with the Fire Department access.
