MAY FESTIVAL - SIDEWALK SALE AND USE OF BOND PARK:
Chamber of Commerce Manager Ron Carney and Estes Park Merchants Associa-
tion President Bob Osborn discussed with the Committee the proposed
sidewalk sale on Elkhorn Avenue for May 19th. Present zoning restrictions
do not permit sales outside of buildings. The Committee recommends the
sidewalk sale be permitted on May 19, 1979 and that the Municipal Code
be amended to allow this type of event.
The Committee also recommends the activities proposed for Bond Park
during the 1979 May Festival also be approved.
BOMB THREAT PROCEDURES:
Chief Ault reviewed with the Committee current procedures for handling
bomb threats and stated that the Mayor, Town Administrator and Fire Chief
will be notified immediately of any future bomb threat incidents.
FIRE DEPARTMENT TRUCK:
Fire Chief Rumley and Bob Cheney discussed proposals for a new fire
truck. The Committee agreed with them that the new truck should be
certified and capable of serving urban and rural needs.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
