The Committee recommends this request be granted and that Police Chief Ault designate the 50' loading zone. REPORTS: In order to provide more downtown parking, more "compact parking" spaces were designated, which has caused a problem with enforcement. Public Works Director Widmer is revamping the number of parking spaces and this will be added to the Model Traffic Code before next summer, which will help with parking enforcement. Section 9 of the Municipal Code on "Public Peace, Morals and Safety", is being rewritten in order to be able to cite violations in the Municipal Court rather than the County Court. The Police Department will be closely monitoring the Halloween activities on Monday, October 31st. In response to concerned parents, the Police Department will be finger- printing pre-school and grade school children free of charge on November 7, 8, and 9, 1983. The fingerprinting will be done at the pre-schools and grade school on these days with the prints to be kept by the parents or in the school files. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned. 11PPR' yv,s ,D NOV 8 1983 L BOA`.?D Cr i i;i :'i `tSyM1 rL- Ann E. Jensen,
