TOWN OF ESTES PARK
November, 1998
Members: Jeff Barker Public Works Committee Rep. 2-year term
Dan Speedlin Parks Department Rep. 2-year term
Tim Rische Parks Department Rep. 4-year term
Russ Franklin Parks Department Rep. 4-year term
Wendell Amos EVIA Rep. 4-year term
Alice Gray EVIA Rep. 4-year term
Dick Lang EVIA Rep. 2-year term
All members present
1. Reviewed Tree Board Conference. It was very successful and very interesting.
We will send a thank you note to Tim at the Timberline Restaurant.
1. We set the meeting schedule for 1999. We will meet on the first Tuesday of the
month in the following months: January, February, March, April, May, July,
September and November.
2. Jeff, Dan and Dick's Tree Board terms run out Jan. 1, 1999. All three consented
to serve 4-year terms starting in 1999.
3. Alice stated that she thinks there should be a Tree City USA sign on Hwy. 7.
Dave Farmer said that he had some old signs that are free. Dan will check into it.
4. The Board asked Alice to write up the 1998 report of what the Tree Board
accomplished. She will present it to the Town Trustees' meeting in January.
5. What can we do in 1999? More newspaper articles. Dick Lang will write the first
article on winter watering of trees.
6. Wendell gave a report on what will happen in Estes Park if Referendum 1A
passes.
