EVIA Rep. 2-year term 2-year term 4-year term 4-year term 4-year term 4-year term 2-year term Members Dan Speedlin, Dick Lang, Russ Franklin, Tim Rische, Jeff Barker and Alice Gray were in attendance. Absent: Wendell Amos The meeting was called to order at 8:30 a.m. 1. Alice Gray noted that the cinnamon rolls were excellent! 2. Tim Rische and Russ Franklin reported on the Carbondale Forestry Conference held October 21 and 22, 1999. It was an interesting and informative conference. They learned more about tree inventories and GIS mapping, which they will be doing in Estes Park. Jim Knopf spoke on Xeroscaping and that was also very interesting. 3. The Parks Department had Mike Richardson prune trees for the town hazard tree program. Trees were trimmed to keep pedestrians safe. The Town is planning to develop a street tree pruning and inventory program to start in 2000 or 2001. 4. A photo was taken of the Tree Memorial Plaque and Tree Board members for the Trail -Gazette. 5. The next meeting will be at 8:30 a.m. January 4, 2000. Meeting adjourned.
