The meeting was called to order at 8:30 a.m.
Please note: There will be no meeting in February 2001.
1. Meeting dates in 2001 will be Tuesdays March 6, April 3, May 1, July 3, Sept. 4 and
Wednesday, Nov. 7.
2. Some goals for 2001:
a. Arbor Day will be May 18, 2001
b. establish a tree -trimming program
c. create a tree -trimming inventory and street tree inventory
d. more educational materials
e. offer tree walks for school children?
f. designate new places to plant trees?
3. Dan gave us Dave Farmer's gypsy moth update.
4. The winter tree workshop will be in Greeley on February 16, 2001.
5. There has been a big beaver problem in Estes Park. Twenty-five trees have been chopped
down and the damage totals $10,000.
6. The Tree Board information rack has been moved to the post opposite the Tree Board
plaque. It is a good location.
The next meeting will be at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2001 in the Administrative Conference
Room.
