TREE BOARD MEETING #30 TOWN OF ESTES PARK April 10, 2001 Members: Jeff Barker Public Works Committee Rep. 2-year term Dan Speedlin Parks Department Rep. 2-year term Tim Rische Parks Department Rep. 4-year term Russ Franklin Parks Department Rep. 4-year term Wendell Amos EVIA Rep. 4-year term Alice Gray EVIA Rep. 4-year term Dick Lang EVIA Rep. 2-year term Present: Dan Speedlin, Russ Franklin, Wendell Amos and Alice Gray and Dick Lang were in attendance. The meeting was called to order at 8:30 a.m. 1. Arbor Day Plans: Eight Spruce trees have been selected by Russ for Arbor Day. Three trees will be planted at a school. Locations for other trees will be chosen and planted after Arbor Day. Invitations will be sent for the ceremony and luncheon at Timberline. Mayor Baudek will read the Proclamation. Perhaps several classes will participate in the program. The Tree City flag will be flown at the Municipal Building. 2. Mike Richardson has already done tree pruning and inventory (size, species and variety) in the town. This was done in three areas: 1d through 4th Street, Stanley Circle and Pine Knoll to Peakview.
