April 9, 2004
Jeff Barker Public Works Committee Rep. 2-year term
Dan Speedlin Parks Department Rep. 2-year term
Tim Rische Parks Department Rep. 4-year term
Russ Franklin Parks Department Rep. 4-year term
Wendell Amos EVIA Rep. 4-year term

Attendees: Dan Speedlin, Russ Franklin, Tim Rische, Alice Gray and Wendell Amos were
in attendance.
Absent: Jeff Barker and Bob Seifert
1. Talked about Arbor Day plans. Three trees will be planted at the Senior Center; one tree at
the Elementary School; and one tree at the Intermediate School.
2. The festivities will take place from 10 to 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 14th at the Elementary and
Intermediate Schools. At 11 a.m. everyone will move to the Senior Center.
3. The County Commissioners will be invited; as will the Town Board; Mayor John Baudek,
Dave Farmer, Mike Babler, Scott Roederer and Ray Mahafy.
4. An article will be put in both local newspapers about Arbor Day and the memorial plaque. It
will appear the week before Arbor Day.
5. There will be a meeting at 8 a.m. Friday, May 7th at the Big Horn Restaurant to finalize the
Arbor Day plans. Following the meeting, the Tree Board will go on a tour of the Champion
Trees in the area. Russ will check on getting the EVRPD van for this outing.
6. Russ is still working on the Tree Board hats.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:15 a.m.
The next meeting will be held at the Big Horn Restaurant at 8 a.m. Friday, May 7, 2004.
