TOURIST INFORMATION CENTER/REST ROOMS:
Plans and specifications for the Visitor Center rest rooms have been
received. The earliest legal publication date for bidding is scheduled
for March 24th with possible awarding of contract on April 13th.
The Committee along with Bob Mobus and Corky Rogers discussed an esti-
mated schedule of completion for the various development stages of
Tallant Park. All agreed to continue in a cooperative effort towards
striving for the earliest possible occupation date.
The Committee also discussed changing the proposed signing of the Visi-
tor Center from aluminum lettering, as is used on the Municipal Building,
to a more rustic material and style of lettering. The approximate cost
of the signing would be $2,000 less any credit received through the
change order removing the presently designated sign as per the contract.
The Committee recommends the change order be made in the signing.
LIBRARY HEATING SYSTEM:
Although adequately advertised, no bids were received for the installa-
tion of the library heating system. The Committee recommends the Public
Works Director be authorized to negotiate the project and submit the
results to the Committee for approval.
STREET NUMBERING:
Slim Roethle and Dan Doylen who have been revising the street numbering
system of the Estes Park area, submitted a list of suggested changes in
street names to the Committee for review. A final list will be submitted
for approval at a later date.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
