recommends supplying the requested material but not Town labor due to
such short notice and an overloaded schedule.
The Committee also recommends that a meeting be held between repre-
sentatives of the Town and the Horse Show and Rodeo Committee to
establish an understanding of the responsibilities of Stanley Park.
EXCESS PROPERTY DISPOSAL:
Various town owned items have accumulated which have no foreseeable
use. The removal of the present Public Works Shop and also the Chamber
of Commerce building will create various other surplus items that
may have some value. The Committee recommends advertising this pro-
perty, conducting an informal one day sale and then hauling to the dump
any unsold items.
ADDITIONAL SEASONAL EMPLOYEES:
Director of Public Works Van Horn requested that two or three High
School students be hired starting at a minimum wage until July 1 at
which time CETA employees may become available. The Committee recom-
mends approval.
GASOLINE BIDDING:
The Committee discussed informal telephone biddings of gasoline when
needed as opposed to purchasing on an annual contractual basis, and
recommended telephone bidding be pursued at this time.
