H. Woods appeared requesting that the Town assume the respon- sibility of cleaning the Museum grounds and watering the lawn and trees. The Committee suggested the Museum Committee obtain the ser- vices of a local volunteer group for the spring cleaning and bto oghiretem. a person part-time for the watering and submit his pay as INFORMATION CENTER: The Committee discussed the current status of the Tourist Informatio Center with Corky Rogers, Manager of the Chamber of Commerce. It appears that July 1, 1976 will be the occupation date, however, an earlier date is possible. Dumar Concrete $4,005.00 Town provides nothing. Along East Riverside Drive, the following bids were receivedthickfor 510 feet of 4'0" wide walk to be poured over existing walk 6: Tom's Concrete $1,780.00 Dumar Concrete $2,805.00 The Committee recommends accepting Tom's Concrete bids for both pro- jects. Both projects will begin June 1, 1976 and will be funded from the $15,000 Larimer County grant designated for the acquisition of open space in the Town of Estes Park. The Committee also recommends that a meeting be held between repre- sentatives of the Town and the Horse Show and Rodeo Committee to establish an understanding of the responsibilities of Stanley Park. EXCESS PROPERTY DISPOSAL: Various town owned items have accumulated which have no foreseeable use. The removal of the present Public Works Shop and also the Chamber of Commerce building will create various other surplus items that may have some value. The Committee recommends advertising this pro- perty, conducting an informal one day sale and then hauling to the dump any unsold items. ADDITIONAL SEASONAL EMPLOYEES: Director of Public Works Van Horn requested that two or three High School students be hired starting at a minimum wage until July 1 at which time CETA employees may become available. The Committee recom- mends approval. GASOLINE BIDDING: The Committee discussed informal telephone biddings of gasoline when needed as opposed to purchasing on an annual contractual basis, and recommended telephone bidding be pursued at this time. REPORTS: Temporary repairs on the East Riverside public rest rooms will be com- pleted by May 24th. Painting of the fascia surrounding the Municipal Building is scheduled to be completed by June 8th. The installation of the air conditioning for the police dispatching room should be finished by May 25th and the accompanying wiring by June 5th. Bids for the 1976 street improvements will be opened Monday, May 24th and awarded at the Board of Trustees meeting of May 25th. In regards to the Kiwanis Club's offer to donate playground equipment for a downtown park, the staff reported that the park located just north of the football field parking lot appears to be the most suitable for playground equipment. E.P.A. water quality standards have required a change in construction procedure of the Ivy and Wiest Street bridges and, therefore, causing a delay.
