Absent: Trustee Petrocine
LIBRARY:
The Committee discussed various alternatives for improving the heating
of the Library such as additional ceiling insulation and storm windows.
The Committee directed Public Works Director Van Horn to obtain further
information on these alternatives.
The Committee also discussed an addition to the Library.
ALLEY - BLOCK 2, TOWN OF ESTES PARK:
The Committee discussed developing the alley just north of Elkhorn Avenue
between Virginia Avenue and Big Horn Drive and directed the Public Works
Director to obtain cost estimates and research the feasibility of such
a project.
GOPHERS - STANLEY PARK AREA:
A complaint was received regarding gophers migrating from Stanley Park
into the Reclamation Addition area. The Public Works Director will con-
tact the CSU Extension agent for possible control measures.
TALLANT PARK:
An expenditure report for Tallant Park was submitted to the Committee
and is attached to these minutes. An additional $19,000 is needed to
complete the project and the Committee recommends the additional funding
be expended for the completion.
DUTY WEEK:
The Director of Public Works explained to the Committee the need for
a duty week assignment. The Committee recommends the Director of Public
Works establish a duty week similar to the other Town Departments.
A.P.W.A. CONFERENCE:
The Committee recommends Public Works Director Van Horn attend the
American Public Works Association conference in Chicago from September
loth through 15th.
OFF-STREET PARKING:
The Committee discussed several off-street parking locations and their
feasibility.
