HUTCHINS/KANE PROPERTY LINES:
Lynn Grant, Attorney representing Mr. Hutchins, appeared before the
Committee regarding the boundary lines of Mr. Hutchins' property
between Elkhorn Avenue and the Big Thompson River just southwest of
the Highway 34 and Highway 36 intersection. Ms. Grant explained that
Mr. Hutchins is claiming an area which became north of the river as a
result of a change in location of the original river channel. A Por-
tion of this parcel was dedicated to the public in 1937 and is shown
as a street on the Little Prospect Mountain Subdivision plat. The
Committee expressed its concern of maintaining access to the Town's
property across the river and informed Ms. Grant the Town Attorney
and State Highway Department would be consulted regarding this matter.
DUMP/SNOWPLOW TRUCK:
The Committee authorized the Public Works Director to request bids to
be received in January for a new combination dump and snowplow truck.
This would allow delivery of the truck at the earliest possible date.
SAFER OFF SYSTEM ROADS PROGRAM:
The Committee recommends submitting an application for federal funding
to improve the West Riverside Drive and Old Ranger Drive bridges. The
Safer Off System Roads Program provides 74% federal funding to be
matched with 26% local funding.
TRAFFIC ISLANDS:
Inadequate signing and traffic pattern problems of the MacGregor Avenue/
