Horn MUNICIPAL BUILDING - STORM WINDOWS: Firm cost estimates to install the storm windows in the Municipalll, Building were not available yet and so the Committee tabled the matter until the next meeting. LIBRARY INSULATION: Storm windows and ceiling insulation for the entire library will exceed the $4,000 allocated. The Committee directed the Public Works Director to obtain firm cost estimates for this project excluding storm windows on the north and east sides of the Library. PROSPECT AVENUE APPROACH TO THE HOSPITAL: The Hospital Board requested that the curves on Prospect Avenue ap- proaching the Hospital be streamlined to aid emergency vehicle traffic. Public Works Director Van Horn explained that this would involve 'ac- quiring additional private property and moving a major Light andlPower structure. The Committee recommends forwarding a letter to the Hospital Board explaining the details and costs of the project and that it 'is not included in the present budget. BURKS PROPERTY HOUSE: The Committee authorized proceeding with obtaining ber bid1,s9for the Burks house. The Town will receive occupancy on PARKING LOT #2 - DRAIN: The Committee recommends installing a surface drain (asphalt pan)\at the southeast c t cornerrof PaarkinggLot #2 adjacent to the Estes Country Kitchen at an approximate cost of $800. REPORTS: BAILEY LANE AND VALLEY ROAD -Letters requesting oadditional right- of-way have been sent to the abutting property aveI itiehe proper easements are obtained, these streets will be p Spring. LIBRAR Y ADDITION -Library and Town staff havemet usiwith oArchit'ect Roger Thorpe to establish the needs and proposed addition. Mr. Thorpe will submit to the Libraryalong Board n dand with a Town Board a sketch of the floor plan and building11st8. t estimate proposal. Construction is expected to be in early STANLEY PARK GOPHERS -Use of gas bombs in Stanley Park to control the gopher population has proven quite effective. Completion of the park is estimated at the end of August. INSULATION STANDARDS - Minimum insulation standards for all buildings will soon be imposed by the State.
